"I took Lola’s class purely off of a recommendation, not knowing really
what the course entailed. I was promised I would know every student in
the class better than I had known any one of my peers in other courses.
I was told the professor would learn as much from me as I did from her.
I was also promised a course that catered to my passions, one that would
allow me to explore my career path, explore what deeply touched me, what
moved me or inspired me. I found that this class has exceeded every one
of those promises. I thought I knew more or less the direction my career
would take me, but this class shown me a million directions to funnel my
ideas, hard work, and dedication. This course is anything but generic. It forces you to question the inequities around you and find what it is
you love and how that can benefit the greater whole. Every Thursday night, when I walk out of class, I feel inspired and impassioned to make huge changes in the world with my life. I not only feel inspired, but
feel this class have given me the tools to shift my future toward that
of social activism. I believe every student should take this class, it
is impossible not to benefit from the inspiring environment Lola creates
in the classroom."
