Praise for Group to Troupe:
“I have used 'Group to Troupe' consistently over the last three years to assist in the process of creating cohesiveness and connection among the cast and crew. Lola has created a collaborative support tool that feels invaluable to me as a facilitator.”

Praise for Brilliance:
"What a beautiful journey to go on with your gang of merry journeyers. I see the novel as a cross between Starhawk and Ursula Leguin and a good road movie like Thelma and Louise. It’s powerfu and honest."
-Ahava Shira, Salt Springs Canada
A how-to book is for group facilitators who are interested in invigorating their sessions with interactive story-telling forms and games. Each exercise is practical, adaptable and easy to use.
There are different ways to use this material. Personal Theater exercises can be used in isolation to spice up ongoing group interaction with new ways to dialogue or a thoughtful combination of performance activities can be used to support the creation of a personal theater showcase.
These performances become a tool for community dialogue.
Lola Broomberg has simplified this process so that any non-performance oriented group facilitator can feel encouraged to provide their group with an exciting opportunity to speak of their lives and be witnessed in their truth.
The Advertisement was simple: a bold black border around a paragraph of small print. It would be tucked in the middle of the classified section, wedged between Personals and Garage sales. You wouldn’t notice it, unless you needed to.
“Time for a change? Are you ready for The Big Shift? Explore your stuck places. Support others in theirs. A small team of adventurers will be leaving on Sunday evening. Meet at the base of Signal Hill. Bring an open heart and an amulet. Courage is essential, Experience is not! Numbers are limited. Reservations necessary.”
This first novel by Lola Broomberg follows the lives of five plucky journeyers who under extraordinary circumstances dare to invite change into their lives. This story is a gift for anyone hesitating on the brink of personal transformation.
