"I started going to imagine that in third grade. I loved it so much that first year, that I was confused as to why my piano teacher Scotty hadn't told me about this sooner. Didn't he love me?"

imagine That! is a unique and innovative creative arts camp where kids create a musical extravaganza performance in 10 days. Children move through the day in age appropriate groups taking classes in drama, art, music and dance. They make their own costumes props and scenery, write and sing songs, choreograph dances and script themselves in our wacky adventure story. Every camp culminates in a thrilling musical performance which is collaboratively built with an exciting crew of teachers.

Twenty years of running imagine That! camps have guided us in refining our system. Each teacher has been hand-picked for their job, based on an illuminated personality, life work, teaching experience and a commitment to collaborative learning. From this powerful staffing foundation, we get to work.
Our team knows what to do and how we do it. Kids love the process and are guaranteed a good time every time.
Each camp has the same basic structure and storyline for the play. What emerges in our production is uniquely particular to that group of kids and teachers.

How this works: The teachers get together in late spring and dream up a wacky story that plays to each age group’s interests and strengths while attending to how each artistic medium can best support the creative process. We tell the story to the campers on the first day and they take it from there.
Children choose their own characters, script themselves, write songs, choreograph dances and build costumes and sets. All three camps share the same skeletal story outline though the three shows bear little resemblance to each other because of the different personalities of the children attending.
There are two well established and delightful traditions at imagine That!;
The Talent show at the end of the day on the first Friday of each camp, - friends and family are welcome. It is usually a breathtaking display of talent and gumption.
The Weird food potluck takes place after the final performance of each camp. Words could not do justice to this culinary display of oddity in food. The rule is as long as its edible, we don’t care what it looks like. Campers are encouraged to make or bring food that resembles some of the themes that were explored in the production.
The uniqueness of imagine That! lies in its collaborative dynamic. Everyone works together, bringing their ideas, passions and personality to work in creating the final production.
Camps fill up quickly, so apply early.
